Free Therapy for as Long as Needed

Therapy is an important part of the trauma healing process. At the Children’s Advocacy Center, we provide professional therapy to three groups:

Children and teens

We support children who have experienced sexual or physical abuse or who are showing signs of trauma.

Our therapists tailor each session to the child’s age and needs, so therapy feels safe and comfortable. Sessions often begin with a simple conversation about the child’s week, followed by activities that help them learn about emotions, body safety and autonomy, safe adults and age-appropriate sexual abuse awareness.

Every session is designed to support healing, restore hope and help children move forward with confidence. Pawnee, the emotional support dog, may also be present to help reduce anxiety or stress.

Adult caregivers

Caregivers play a vital role in a child’s healing. We provide support to help parents and caregivers understand trauma, respond to their child’s needs and feel confident in supporting their recovery.

Therapy offers a space to ask questions, process emotions, and learn practical ways to help children feel safe and supported at home. Our therapists walk alongside caregivers, helping families rebuild stability, trust and hope together.

Adult survivors of abuse

We often tell families that once you come to CAC, you have a lifetime membership. Healing from trauma is not always a straight path, and there is no set timeline.

Whenever your family or child need additional support, you are always welcome to return. CAC is always here for you.
